Unexpected Lunch and Pedometer Obsession

Mar 23

I had all good intentions of really staying on track with my diet this week. I mean my birthday is coming up next week and I am so close to my 1st goal of losing 10LBS. I go to a client meeting today for work and they provided lunch, which I love when clients do that. Well in typical NYC style, I imagined lunch would have been sandwiches, salads and a few brownies and cookies for dessert. Well, it was NOT. They ordered from TGIF. Really people, what happened to the sandwiches and salads, I was prepared for that. What could I do, it was a two hour meeting and by then I was truly starving , so I tried to be as good as I can be and had the following:

1 slider (small burger)

French fires (I overdosed just a little bit on this; it was so good with honey mustard dipping sauce)

Side salad (got my veggies in)

1 small slice of a chicken quesadilla
Not so bad right?

For breakfast I had oatmeal and a banana

Losing in the City Tip – I wanted to share my latest fitness obsession, it’s small but can be really effective. I recently brought a Weight Watchers pedometer and it’s been really helpful with making sure I am getting enough physical activity. I find myself walking a lot more just to make sure I am taking more steps everyday. Also, if anyone is on Weight Watchers it’s a super easy way to earn activity points. I strongly recommend it for anyone.

What are some inexpensive ways you have incorporated working out into your routine?

You did great with your picks…:D! I do a lot of butt up, situps, and push ups. I also eat lots of fibers and no white starch but basmati rice, which is my weakness.

  2. Last time I was at TGI FRIDAY it was so noisy I couldn't hear myself think and everything on the menu was flippin fried. Makes me crazy. Good girl. Keri (a.k.a. Sam)
