A Day in the Life – My Sunday
Jun 06
On Sundays, I usually like to run all my errands and take care of everything on my “to-do list” early so that I can enjoy what’s left of the weekend. Well not happening today. My day ended up being just a little crazy. Here’s a glance at how the day started and ended, just NUTS.
7AM – Rise and shine, my daughter is up and ready to eat. Let the day begin.
8AM – Baby I and get dressed and head out to the park for a short power walk, my only form of exercise for the weekend, so wack of me, I know, but it’s better then nothing right?
8:45AM – Baby and I leave the park and walk to Target (which recently expanded to include produce, so excited about that
The small things make me very happy.
9:45AM – Leave Target with way to many bags, wish I brought the car with me. Trying to figure out how we’re going to get home while baby starts to fall asleep in her stroller. Thank god her stroller has tons of compartments. I end up dumping things everywhere in the stroller and we make our way home.
10:20AM – Baby and I get home. I unpack groceries. She takes a nap.
11AM – Make green smoothie for breakfast with 2c spinach, 1 banana, 1/2c milk, and cherries, 1tbsp PB. Baby wakes up, hubby comes home from the gym. Time to feed the baby. I jump in the shower (TMI) and gets ready for work.
11:45AM – Mommy”me”time – hubby is on baby duty as I leave the house to get a manicure, pedicure and wax. I was way over due for all three of these things.
1PM – After my beauty day had to stop at the grocery store again to purchase items for today’s dinner that I didn’t get at Target. I also ate a yogurt and a small sandwich that I brought with my from home.
2PM – Get home, unpack groceries again, and marinate chicken, start getting dinner ready. On the menu for today stew chicken, sautéed eggplants and white rice. I also made an extra dish for the week; pasta with pumpkin, sausage and spinach. Pasta dish courtesy of a lovely recipe from Greenlitebites..
3PM – 8PM This is the longest it has ever taken me to cook. Hubby had to go out for a while so it was baby and I as I tried to cook. My daughter was a bit of a handful today and I had to stop and start cooking quite a few times. At one point I had the chicken in the oven, rice on the stove while watching Fairly Odd Parents with my daughter, because she wanted to play. When I would try to walk away, she would start crying. I also, fed her, changed her, talked to my sister on the phone and snacked a bit during this time.
(I had to quietly sneak away to get this shot, she was so into it.)
8PM – 10PM Washed dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and then watched baby’s bottles. Somewhere between here I also ate dinner.
10:43PM – Showered and now I’m watching Real Housewives of OC (not really feeling this show, but Mob Wives isn’t on tonight. Yes, I do watch Mob Wives (my guilty pleasures) and of course blogging! Next, I have to work on my meal plan for the week and figure out what I am going to wear to work. I had a few other things to do, but will get to it during the week, I’m done for the day.
11:28PM – I’m about to send this post and going to bed.
So, tell me, how was your day?
