Product Review: Eucerin Everyday Protection Body Lotion SPF 15

It’s been awhile since I have done a product review. I have been using a lot of products lately that I absolutely love and I can’t wait to share them with you. My past reviews have always been about the latest food items that I love, well not today. Aside from my obsession with health/wellness, my other obsession is all things beauty. From skincare to fragrance to cosmetics, I am a real girlie girl when it comes to beauty products.

I was recently asked to test and review Eucerin’s Everyday Protection Body Lotion with SPF 15. If you’re not familiar with Eucerin products, they are part of a company called Beiersdorf. Beiesdorf also makes Nivea products as well as Aquaphor healing ointment. I have been using Nivea for many years and recently started using Aquaphor on my newborn, so I was more than happy to try the Eucerin product as I really trust and love Beiersdorf products. I have used Eucerin a few times but not consistently.

For as long as I can remember, I have always used a facial moisturizer with SPF on my face. But I never really thought to use a body lotion with SPF as well. When you think about it, it makes total sense that your body lotion should have SPF, right? My face isn’t the only part of my body that is exposed to the sun. Am I the only one out there who wasn’t using a body lotion with SPF? Well, that’s going to change.

I really liked the Eucerin Everyday Protection Body Lotion with SPF 15. It’s super light weight which is very important for me. I do not like thick and heavy lotions, so that was a plus for me. My skin felt really smooth after using it for several days. It absorbs well and lasts all day. In addition this, I just love the fact that it has SPF in it. We all know how important it is to protect are skin from excessive exposure to the sun. According to Eucerin’s website;

Too much sun has a weathering affect on skin and leads to an aged appearance. And the cumulative effects of sun exposure can increase the risk of skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. It’s believed that more than 90% of skin cancer cases are caused by overexposure to the sun. The risk of skin cancer doubles if you’ve had five or more sunburns.

The only negative comment I have about this lotion is that it’s fragrance-free. Now this is a total personal preference, but I like for my body lotion to be slightly scented. But I’m willing to do without the scent, in an effort to protect my skin ?

Overall, I really like this lotion. I think it’s so important for all of us to take care of our skin health. If using a body lotion with SPF along with making other lifestyle changes can help protect us from certain ailments, I strongly recommend that all of you find a body lotion with SPF and incorporate it into your daily skincare regimen. Your skin will thank you later.

P.S. I haven’t tried the facial moisturizer in the picture, but plan on doing so soon. Also, there’s a lot of great skin health information on Eucerin’s website, you can check it out for additional information.

Do you currently use a body lotion with SPF? How do you protect your skin from too much sun?

While I was given the products to try, the opinions expressed are 100% mine.
