Last Post of the Year

As I prepare for a small New Years Eve (NYE) party (not really a big party but can’t think of anything else to call it) at my house, I wanted to take some time from party planning to write my last post of the year.  When I think about the year coming to an end all I can say is WOO SAH! We have made through another year of life, another year of highs and lows and another year that we are still standing strong.

2011 was the year that I gave birth to my baby girl, the happiest moment in my life, this year was also the year that I loss two people who were near and dear to my heart and soul. How can a year be the happiest and saddest all in one? I don’t have the answer and none of us ever will. I am a women of faith and believe that only god knows.  I just feel immensely thankful that no matter what challenges came my way, I survived and I just hope and pray for that same resolve in 2012.

As we enter 2012, I am not setting any resolutions for the new year, but more promises to myself. I promise to enjoy every moment with my family, I promise to not let work take over my life, I promise to do more for “me”, lastly, I promise to take care of my overall health and wellness.
