Sugar The Ultimate Energy Sucker
Jan 26
Why is it that when I have long meetings at work that will take place over a few days and involve brainstorming, presentations, etc we’re provided with the most awful snacks to help boost our energy.
I am in an all day, multiple day meeting at work that involves a lot of brainstorming, presentations and work. Well, the snacks that were provided to us included trial size snickers, M&M’s, Hershey’s kisses and swedish fish’s. Needless to say by noon, I couldn’t help myself I had one pack of M&M’s and before you know it, I was downing one after the other. This is what my area ended up looking like, #EpicCleanEatingFailure
By the end of the day I felt like crap, I just kept drinking water all day in hopes of washing the sugar out of my system (I know so not happening, but I just felt so awful). My energy was so low and I was tired and not alert. Sugar is evil!
How does your body react when you consume to much sugar?

I’m a born and raised New Yorker who loves all things healthy living and weight loss. I’m a wife, new mom, marketing executive and I guess now a blogger! Join me on my journey to getting healthy and happy in the city.
My body reacts greedy. Eating sugar begets the need to eat more sugar. It happened around the holidays but I picked up on the signs and was able to put it in check. But in general? I’m staying away. FAR away! They always have cashews and pretzels at out meetings. Thank goodness for that.
that’s so good that your job has healthier snacks.. the next day,i brought in fruits for every body and stayed far away from all that candy..
