But here I am with my second post on the sixth day, *womp, womp* but I am so glad I participated (even though it’s brief). I have discovered some pretty awesome bloggers such as Beignet Mama and fellow Brooklyn blogger Blogging While Nursing to name a few. I love finding new blogs to read.
Next time, I participate in a challenge; I will plan better and prep my posts in advance.
Any hoo, today’s prompt, for the challenge, is “how my family reacts to my blog.”
Well, the funny thing is my family doesn’t react to my blog because half of them don’t even know I have a blog. Outside of my hubby and sisters, the rest of my family doesn’t really know. They know that I do a lot of work around health and that I’m always trying something new, but they have no idea about this blog and I’m ok with that. If it comes up I have no problem with them knowing, but it hasn’t.
I come from a humongous Caribbean family and they will drive me crazy if they know about the blog. They would question me about every post as all kinds of crazy questions and I am not up to that at all.
However, for my family members that do know they are super supportive. My sister always checks in to see if I am still blogging. (Oddly she doesn’t read my blog but always wants to know that I am still blogging). My husband doesn’t read my blog but will make sarcastic jokes about it sometimes.
Losing in the City is my little escape from the day to day and it’s a platform to do good however I can in the health and wellness space and that’s all that matters to me. I am a mom, wife and working executive and this is the one space that I can just BE!
How does your family react to your blog? If your family members read your blog, do they visit and comment regularly? Are you censored with what you write because your family follows?
