The past few months have been a little “cray, cray” aka crazy for me. I have been traveling like a mad woman for both work and pleasure and feel like I haven’t had a moment to just be still, but I am not complaining.
I just came back from attending a dear friends wedding in Puerto Rico. I had an absolute blast. The weather was amazing. I literally spent most of my time by the pool and beach. Today was my first day back at work and it was painful because I had major post vacation blues and I was super tired. The one thing I didn’t get much of on this trip is SLEEP.
When I’m on vacation it always reminds me of how important it is to “work hard, but play even harder.” Life is to short and we all work so hard and are beyond stress that vacations whether big or small are an absolute necessity for peace of mind. Vacations for me, give me time to think and just relax my mind, body and soul. With the day-to-day grind of work and life, I always feel like I’m on overdrive, so I’m thankful for these small moments of fun and relaxation with my family and friends.
Overall, while on vacation, I tried to keep up with my workouts as much as possible. I actually brought my T25 DVD’s with me, but I probably enjoyed one to many sangrias and mojito’s so it’s back to reality for me this week.
This week, my goal is to hold on as best I can to my vacation vibe and to focus on the memory of the view from my hotel in the picture above.
